E‑Cargo Bikes

Project MOVER now offers e‑cargo bikes — front‑loading electric bikes designed for hauling groceries, supplies, or anything else you need to move around. At this time, e‑cargo bikes are available exclusively to Hudson House residents, with plans to expand access in the future.

How to Reserve

Reservations are made through the Project MOVER app in 4‑hour blocks. Open the app, look for the cargo bike icon on the map, and book your time slot. When your reservation begins, follow the in‑app instructions to unlock the bike. E‑cargo bikes must be picked up from and returned to Hudson House.

Before You Ride

• These bikes handle differently than a standard e‑bike. Take a few minutes in a quiet area to get comfortable with steering and braking before heading into traffic.
• The front bucket can carry up to 250 lbs. Do not exceed this limit.
• Bring your own straps or bungee cords to secure items in the bucket.
• Brake gently and early — a loaded cargo bike needs more distance to stop than you might expect.
